WEDDING BELLS

A wedding which attracted more ' than usual interest took place at Trinity Church yesterday afternoon. The bride was Miss Florence Easson (third daughter of the late Mr John Wallace Easson, of Greymouth) and the fovtttn&te bvidegvoom Mv Arthur E. Green, of "Upcot," Marlborough (fourth son of the late Mr Edward Green, of "The Sands," Nelson. The church was gaily and artistically decorated with ferns, flowers, etc, and a beautifully flower- worked bell hung over the altar, made by her lady friends, which was the emblem of good luck. Shortly before 2 o'clock tlip large church was well filled to witness the happy event. The bridal party looked really pretty as they proceeded up the aisle, the handsome dresses worn by them .made a charming picture. The bride, who was given away by her brother, looked lovely in a handsome •white sillr, trimmed with pearl passementerie and beautiful lace, a long silk train, and embroidered tulle veil, with the usual wreath of orange blossom. Shealso carried a magnificent bouquet (the gift of her friend, Mrs Okey), which was prettily made up of choice flowers, and wore a magnificent diamond brooch, and bangle the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was attended by four bridesmaids, who were attired in very handsome dresses. Miss Eassou. in. yellow silk with lace trimming?, Miss Mabel Easson in pink silk, Bliss Thomas in heliotrope silk, and Miss Marion Petrie in blue silk. They .all 'wore white veil's, fastened with aigrettes, and carried shower bouquets, and wore pretty gold brooches thegift of the bridegroom. Mr Harry C. Harley (nephew of the bridegroom) acted as best man, and Mr P. G. Easson was groomsman. The Rev G. W; York performed the ceremony in a veiy impressive manner. The service was a choral one performed by a strong choir, , and as the party left the ceurch the Wedding March was capitally rendered by Miss Petrie. Some very handsome dresses were worn by the guests. Mrs . Easson (mother of the bride), wore a black moire voleur, Mrs Easson * light tweed costume with hat to match, Mrs Akers (Nelson) dark green poplin, cream satin front and bead trimmings, black hat, Miss Green (Nelson) periwinkle black silk, with white silk and lace trimmings, black and pink hat.' Miss M. Green (Nelson) black merveilleux silk and jet trimmings, Miss Wright (Dunedin) fawn embroidered costume, trimmed with brown silk ribbon. After the ceremony at the, church the guests and bridal party were driven in nicely decorated carriages to the residence of the bride's mother, "Taku Kainga," where they partook, of afternoon tea. The, usual toasts-were, proposed and responded to. At 4 o'clock the party proceeded to the railway station to see the happy couple start on their journey, and loud were the expressions of goodwill and prosperity, and amidst the handshaking and leavetaking the rice was .thickly showered on the "happy couple."
