UNIVERSITY SENATE.
Christchtjrch, March 5.
At the University Senate to-day it was resolved to appoint a committee to consider whether it would be advantageous to divide the past matriculation into two classes according to merit, and at the committee's discretion to prepare a scheme of qualifications for the first class.
