SHAW'S CASE.
January 6. At the Resident Magistrate's Court this afternoon, in the case M'Minn v E. Shaw, Mr Jellicoe, prosecuting counsel, said he had received two telegrams from the prosecutor stating that his absence had been occasioned by serious illness, but he hoped to be present at the adjourned hearing.
