A deputation from the Freethought Conference waited on the Premier on Thursday last, suggesting certain amendments in the Printers and Newspapers' statute. The deputation claimed for Secularists the right to publish newspapers without being required to find sureties guaranteeing against the publication of blasphemous and other matters.
