PARLIAMENTARY.
[from our correspondent.] Wellington, July 23. To-day being a private members' day, the business was very quiet. In the afternoon a number of local bills were passed and committed. In answer to Major Atkinson, the Premier said the Government would give ample notice of the motion to be moved on Friday re East and West Coast Railt way. In the evening the Plurality of Votes Bill was read a second time. July 24. ; Mr Larnach delivered his mining statement this evening. There was a good deal of superfluous matter in it, as the items from his diary were given as written, instead of being compressed and put into proper shape. J
