Oamjjru, March 18. The Maiden Plate was a very hollow affair. Of tbe five on the card Ladylove, Liltle John, and the Little Lady, colt, were scratched, and May Morn had an easy victory. The steeplechase was also a hollow affair, Shillelagh being the only one of the horses to go round. The Hack Selling Steeplechase produced a very good field. The finest race of the day was the Autumn Handicap, in which the four horses ran almost in a cluster till entering the straight, when Chancellor drew slightly away, and '/ton a grand race by a bare length from Tera, with Blue Peter a good third. Novel Race — Adamant, 1 ; May Morn, 2 ; Deception, 3. The Consolation was a walk over for York. A Benevolent Scurry brought the meeting to a conclusion. S. Brooks completed his task of walk- , ing 120 miles in 23 hours 48 mins. j
