AUCKLAND NEWS.
Auckland, March 18. A breakfast in connection with the present session of the general assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, was held to-day. Ffty persons, including several ladies, were present. A foot race is on the tapis between R. P. Hutton, of Auckland, and Mr James Freer, of Gisborne, for LSO aside. Distance 100, 150, and 200 yards. The winner of two events out of three to take the money.
