Arrived : Claud Hamilton, from Melbourne ; Augusta, from Kaipara. Sailed: D'Arcy Pratt, from Wellington, with 100,000 feet of timber. The s.s Claud Hamilton left Melbourne on the 20th, and txperienced light variable winds till arrival off Hokitika. The passengers for Greymouth are, Messrs Malcolm and Masters, and seven steerage, Pbrth, W.A. The barque Manfred foundered at Lacepede Islands in a hurricane on January 24 The crew were saved. The whaler Runnymede went ashore at Browse Island. Other wrecks are rumored.
