SOUTH CANTERBURY STEEPLECHASES. f PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] TIMARU, September 14. The South Canterbury Hunt Club Steeplechases to-day "were fairly attended. About 400 were present. The horses had all hunted in the neighborhood during the past winter, and with few exceptions showed themselves good fencers, going straight and jumping neatly.
