MOIIIUNSVILLE STOCK SALE SHARP DECLINE IN BREEDING EWES COAST AND GISBORNE SHEEP CHANGE HANDS Breeding ewes declined sharply in value at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday. The Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., reports that there was an extra heavy entry of all classes of store sheep, including breeding ewes from the East Coast, North Auckland, and southern districts. Competition was not so keen as last week and prices all along showed rv decline-

In some cases of older ewes values receded by 4s to 5s a head. There were several pens of well-grown 2-th owes ,and, although competition in this class was slightly easier than in older sheep, these also showed a deedine on last week’s prices. There was a good yarding of store lambs, which were excellently competed for by dairy farmers, and values showed littlo alteration from last sale. Cull caves were hard to quit. The following prices were realised for .sheep ex-Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne: Best 2-th ewes, 41s to 42s <xl; medium, 38s 7d to 39s 3d; small, 30s to 325; late shorn. 34s 6d; 4-th ewes, 355; mixed’ age, 35s to 35s Gd; 4-yr ewes, 29s Gd to 32s 3d; 5-yr ewes, 29s to 33s 6d (best); others, 275; to 2Ss; Glyr leaves, 2’s to 275; other 6yr ewes' 23s Gd to 24s 90.
