AUCKLAND’S SECOND WOOL SALE. BFjST FOR TWELVE YEARS. CHEQUE AMOUNTS TO £OI3,PM. (Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 12. Representing an aggregate payment of £613,851, the proceeds of the second Auckland wool sale, which havo been distributed to growers this week, reflect the most favourable season for the last 12 years. The cheque, easily surpasses £518,750 realised .by tho January sale in 1925, and brings tlie total distribution for the two Auckland sales this season to £1,053,121, as against £935,621 for all three sales last season. Thu total compares with £324,081 obtained from the second sale of 1935-36 season, and £139,270 for the November sale of this season.
SECOND CHRISTCHURCH SALE. REALISATION TOTALS £695,863. (Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 12. At the second Christchurch ■ wool sale of the season, hold on February 1, a total of 30,321 hales was sold. The total realisation from the sale was £695,863. and the average price per lb. was 17.43 d.
