Tiie principle of a. wool levy to provide funds for research and propaganda., to combat competition of other textiles and synthetic fibres, was unanimously approved at the annual meeting of the Royal Agricultural Society to-day. Mr A. H. Cockayne announced that lie was at the moment endeavouring to finalise the preparation of legislation dealing with a levy on wool.
