July 1. Without regaining consciousness, Air. Henry Hooker, 78, who was admitted to hospital on Tuesday suffering from severe injuries to head, legs and body died this evening. Hr. Hooker was discovered in a seriously injured condition last night, lying in a street. At one stage the theory was that lie had b;en the victim of an assault, but a subsequent medical investigation suggests that he was knocked down aud run over by a motor vehicle of some kind.
