RANGOON PREPARES FOR COMMERCIAL PLANES. NEW AIRPORT TO BE CONSTRUCTED. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copyright). (Received Julyl, 8.50 p.m ). RANGOON, June 30. Land has been acquired six miles from the city for the construction ot an airport at a cost of £67500. The existing airport, twelve miles from Rangoon. is inadequate for 'the grounding demands of commercial aviation. The. new airport will take two to three years lo complete.
