William Ernest Hewins. alias Walter Jackson, 27. an electro-plater, who was found with jewellery in his possession and was believed to ha a stowaway from New Zealand, "'as charged with breaking into the shop of Laurence Hedges, New Plymouth and stealing a number of rings and watches. Accused- was further remanded til! July 8. ITcwins was further charged with receiving, and also with being a prohibited immigrant.
