PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION VOTING ENDED CAMPAIGN RECEIPTS TOTAL WELL OVER £4OO The PJunket Society’s beautiful baby competition was brought to an end on a campaign of. two and a-half week's, and the results achieved well over £4OO to the Eocfety must, prove very gratifying. Naturally the final day saw the b:st period financially, of the whole campaign, and over £IOO was; taken in cash, equivalent to more than 2H,000 voted l east. Asj a result the poll showed continuous changes, and the progress returns; were posted in Pettie’.s window to small crowds pf interested parents, friends of tho Society, and the general public.

It io pleasing to record that despite tho fact that hv far the greater portion of the money went on the leaders in each sectionnot one child did not receive at least some support, from voters. The most popular section was Class B, over six months and under 12 months, where the first five be- * tween them were responsible for M over £9O. The next section, so far 1 as financial returns are concerned, was claws 0, over 12 months and under two yearsy where the votes of the first five totalled over £69.

.At the conclusion of the contest, the photographs of the majority of the placed- competitors were shown ;n the window, and during the day and yesterday large numbers assembled to discuss the contest and see the detailed results, which were shown in thg form of a barometer chart.

The final results were announced by the official recorders, Messrs T. J. Adair and H. F. Forster, as follows,, the serial number being thatgiven in front of the names of the babies.
