Tue police inquiry at the Courthouse in Gisborne,' in which two junior members of the force are concerned. was interrupted on Thursday by the serving of a writ of certioraii and prohibition from Mr L. T. Burnard. counsel for the junior members of the force, on members of the appeal board applying to restrain them from proceeding further on
account of certain alleged irregularities a Using prior to their appointment. . This matter will come before the Supreme Court in Gisborne nextweek.
Two whole days, including late n ghi sittings, had been occupied by the board' of appeal this week. The board comprised; Mr J. Miller. S.M., Napier; Mr Some-set Smith. LI..
