101 YEARS OF AGE
WOMAN CENTENARIAN IN H NELSON. KING’S CONGRATULATIONB. NELSON. May 52. The King to-day sent heartiest congratulations and good wishes to one of liis oldest subjects, Mrs. T. A. Bromell, of Nelson, on her attainment of the age of 101 years. “Fancy him striding this all tlvrt way for my sake,” was the centenarian’s way of expressing her evident pleasure. "Bless him.” ■ Mrs. Eromeil was horn in Clifton.. Bristol, whore she married, and ixjT 1867 she went to Melbourne. The 1 next year she eumo to Nelson. In 1576 Mr. Bromell bought a farm atTadmor, where he died 23 years ago. Mrs. Bromell then returned to live in Nelson. There are two daughters and three sons living, 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
