Raepata was unplaced in the Corinthian Cup, Cockpen was unplaced in the December Handicap, and Tlieo was unplaced l in the Oarlingford Mile. At the Ascot races, H-avaspot and Cape F'air iwere unplaced in the Glenberrie Hurdles, Radiant Star was unplaced in the Flying Handicap, Taka kua was unplaced l in the Ascot- Handicap. There was a nasty smash when Asparagus fell and broke his neck. Sir Beaufort fell over him, injui-ing its shoulder. Both jockeys bad remarkable escapes-

DEATH DUE TO NATURALCAUSES

A Moreo report from the veterinary research station concerning the death of Roihu Ra, who was reported to have died after being doped, disclosed no traces of poisoning or anything other than natural causes. The death of the other horse Bluntedge was also ound to be duo to natural causes.
