OPENING DAY’S PLAY MEDAL MATCH TO HARDWICK Conditions were very favorable yes terdav for the opening of the Poverty Bay Golf Club’s Easter tournament, the first held for two- years. Two qualifying rounds were played on handicap and the first 16 in the list participate in the Willock Easter Clip competition, and the second 16 in the handicap tournament, the opening rounds in both o’f which will be decided to-day. A medal match over the 36 holes of the qualifying rounds was also played yesterday, and this resulted in a victory for D. W. Hardwick with a 'Score ct 136.
