NEW EIGHT STOREY BUILDING. NOVEL TOP-PIECE. CONTRACT PRICE 01' £293,000 (Press Association). WELLINGTON, April 15. The Cabinet has authorised the acceptance of Air AI. -G. Templeton's tender for the erection of an eightstorey building. 139 ft high., on Customhouse quay, for the Government Life Insurance Department. The building will be surmounted by a metal lighthouse, with the upper part of tho structure floodlit at night. The structure will he earthquake and fire resisting. The price is £293,060 and the con tract is to he completed within two years. Work will begin probably next week.
