The Weekly Dispatch says that His Majesty’s collection of gold plate, including the famous dinner service, is nov-, owing to the increased pries of gold, worth £3,375,000 and it will not be used at the jubilee State dinner. It will not be used on similar occasions for some time, owing to its value, but it will be displayed in the banquet hall as a decoration, the guests dining from China plates.
