TRIPLETS ON TRAIN

The Flying Scotsman, en route from London to Edinburgh was held up for forty-five minutes at Aynmouth, owing to Mrs. Sarah Monaghan, of Bathgate, giving birth to triplets in a compartment. She was attended by two medical, students aboard the train, while a doctor and an ambulance were hurriedly summoned and the woman was rushed to Aynmouth Infirmary four miles away. The triplets did not survive. The woman is stated to be progressing.
