BING CTROSBY EXCELLENT. “She Loves Me Not’’ now showing at the Regent Theatre, is one of those witty, light-hearted romances which show Bing Crosby* at his best. The story concerns a dancer, Curly Flagg (Miriam Hopkins), who, forced to flee to escape being locked op as a witness to a gang murder, hides in the room of a Pi incoton undergraduate, Paul Lawton (Bing Crosby). Paul’s friend, Buzz (Edward Nugent) endeavors to persuade his father, a producer, to |grve'- Guriy a chance on the screen. The result is a big publicity plot, which threatens to cause the expulsion of the two students. , Meanwhile, Paul, who already has a fiancee. (Judith Alien) finds himself in love with the dean’s daughter (Kitty Cnrislc), as well as being entangled with the- .clamorous dancer. Three new songs, “Love in Bloom,” ‘Straight from the Shoulder,’ and T’m . Tlummin’ . I’m WhistlinV, are wold worth hearing. The supports, which include, a fine orchestral stage presentation, are excellent. .... .- .......... ■, .
