The police made a lightning raid on the Bombay cotton exchange one. arrested 1-1 S Indian brokers engaged in dealing in American futures. A large sum in 'earth: and. papers wore seized. Those arrested were' release** on ba.il. The exchange doorkeepers, not recognising the police attempted to prevent their entry and a scuffle ensued,, several being injured.
