BRILLIANT DOUBLE BILL There have been few mcro uproariously funny English comedies than “Night of the Garter” which heads the double feature programme at the Majestic to-day. As Bodger, a butler who.se 'dignity, in spite of a succession of very strange incidents, never becomes ruffled, Sydney Howard presents an amusing a character as he has yet given film-goers. His unhurried. rather ponderous style lias seldom been employed with more amusing results.. But besides. Sydney Howard, there' are such gifted artists as Winifred Shottcr, remembered Ruber performance in the majority of the farces with Tom Wall and Ralph Lynn, Elsie Randolph, another popular comedienne, Connie Eclis, in the part of a comic lady’s maid, Austin Melford, Jack , Melford, Harold French and Marjorie .Brook's. The vivacious Jessie Matthews, of “There Goes the Bride”. “The Midshipmaid”, and “Evergreen” ,shores another great success In “The Man from Toronto”, the second feature. Miss Matthews’ role in the picture affords yet further proof of her • charm and extraordinary versatility.
