RECENT THEATRE
BRIGHT MUSICAL COMEDY For those who appreciate a hr ght and tuneful musical comedy, ‘“She Loves Ale Not” opening to-day at the Regent, is excellent entertainment. The film is a merry series of amusing complications. The outstanding feature is the singing of Bing Crosby, who in this film 'demonstrates that his voice is really a fine one. His rendering of “'Lo-ve in Bloom”, “I’m Humming, I’m Singing”, and “Straight from the Shoulder” are remarkable for their ease and naturalness, and the tunes are so catchy that there is no doubt they will prove very popular. In addition he demonstrates that he is an actor of no mean ability in a role which is ideal for his engaging personality. . As a bright and vivacious actress Miriam Hopkins brings an air of lively attraction into, many scenes. The rest of the cast gives good support. The short films include a .sports subject, “Miles Per Hour”, and several other interesting Items.
