Two very successful functions, financially and socially, were held on Thursday. In tin. afternoon a sale of work was well patronised, and excellent business' was done, and i n the evening a very enjoyable conce'rt programme wa s presented. A number of delightful numbers wore given ov the School children, and in this respect much credit was duo; to then teachers for their efforts in preparation for the concert. Items we're given by Mr. E. Sharpies' orchestra, aongs by Miss Prentice and Mrs.- S. Rutherford, tap dance duo by Misses Bobby Scott and S. Muirrop skipping dancc K by Mills Colleen Perston, male quartets ' hv Messrs Shone,. Williams, Smith and Turbitt, ventriloquial items by Mr. R. Pearsspiij an exhibition of conjuring by Mr. Rogeirs, and humorous items by Mr. Seal. The chairman of the committee, Mr John Jackson, presided, ad expressed h.ib appreciation, of the efforts of the .committee and the . generous assi-itsancc given by the artists.
