Captain Eggemedt, a Socialist exchief of police, who was previously imprisoned, was shot dead on the Dutch frontier when trying to enter Holland. It appears that Captain Eggorstedt escaped from the concentration camp 'at Kayendorf and hid during the night in the woods. He tried to Jash across the frontier, so his pursuers lived.
