Mr D. W. Coleman, M.P., who spent the week-end in Gisborne, left yestrday afternoon on his return to Wellington. According to advice received by the Gisborne R.S.A. executive, Mr S- J. Harrison, general isecretary of the N.Z.R.S.A., will attend the local annual re-union, to he held on October 24. Air J. E. Coleman, mate on the s.s. Tiroa, and son of Air, J. Coleman, Gisborne, has been successful in pa&sing the examination for master, home trade. Mr J. N. Taylor, managing director of Motueka- (N.Z.) Oilfields - j and New Zealand representative fo Taranaki (N.Z.) Oldfields directorate, lacscOmpanied by Mrs' Taylor, is paying a brief business visit' to Gisborne. The engagement is announced of Marjorie, 'daughter of Airs and the late Air Charles S. Young, of Wellington, to Hilary, son of the Rev. Canon and 1 Airs A. Neild, of Napier. While playing with two other, mates on the bank of the Waipaoa river, James AlcKerrcw, the eight-jytear-old son of Air and Airs A. AlcKerroiw, of Waipaoa, fell and fractured a leg. Assistance was given ■by the St. John Ambulance and the ilad was removed to Cook Hospital, where, according to a report late last night, he was making favorable progress. Sixty troops in Wellington district were represented at a . Scout demonstration for Lord Blodisloe, Chief Scout for the Dominion in St. John s Hall, Wellington, on Saturday afternoon. Lord Bledisloe presented Sir Alfred Robin, Wellington Aletropolitan Commissioner, with the Order of the'Hon. Silver Wolf, the most covdistinction in the Scout brotherhood. and read a letter from Lord Baden Powell conferring the honour. Wellington’s Grand Old Alan of music, Air. Robert Parker, C-.M.G., has concluded his fifty-fifth year as ohoirmaste-T and organist at St. Paul s Pro-Cathedral. Canon percival James paid a tribute to Air..
