STRUCK CULVERT AND OVERTURNED EIGHT WOMEN INJURED (U.P.A. by Elec, TeL Copyright) (Received Oct. 13, S.lO p.m.) MELBOURNE. Oct. 13. A service car containing thirteen women passengers, mostly for Canjbeijra,' struck a concrete culvertnear Wallan ,ovcrtunred, and caught lire. The passengers were extricated before the flames reached them. Eight women were injured, the majority having broken bones, and the remainder being severely .shaken. The driver sustained facial injuries. The accident was due to the burstling of a tyre, causing the vehicle to swerve and .strike the culvert with terrific force.
