KAHUTIA CLUB
There was a poor attendance on the Kahutia Bowling Club’s -green on Thursday afternoon, but the- games played proved enjoyable and interesting. A rink from the Poverty Bayclub, skipped by T. Wilson, were me chaliengers for the Thursday “Roosters,” held by Rothwell’s team. A close game wa s witnessed, the holders retaining the honors by 23 to 19, Details: — —“Roosters.”— •Kahutia,—Lynskcy, Dunlop, Power. J. Roth well (s) 23 v Poverty Bay.— Bayliss, Graham, Rosio, "Wilson ( s ) 19. —Ordinary Games.— D. Hutton, Donaldson, Davies. Holland (s) 21 v. Mdvinlay, Clarke, Watt, Morris (s) 20. Ingram and Sawyer ,(s) 22 v Campbell and Dudfield'' (s) 21. —King’s Birthday Tournament.— ■At a committee meeting-of club, it was decided to hold a fullrink tournament on King’s Birthday, June 3. rinks to. be selected under tlie winter grading system. Games ivill be of 11 heads, and entries will ploso next Saturday. It is expected that rinks from sister clubs will compete, and providing the weather'conditions are favorable, a good day’s bowling shuld-take place.
