TO-NIGHT’S GREAT CONCERT

. To-night, at- the Gisborne. Opera Rouse, music-lovers will have a great treat, for the world-famous baritone. Air. John Brownlee, promises a magnificent programme calculated to appeal’ to a 'wide variety of tastes. To-night Air. Brownley "ill include the Prologue from ‘T, Pagliacci” (Leoncavallo) among his operatic numbers, and the duel from ‘‘Rigolet* to” (in which the baritone will be associated with Aims Rita Al.ilier) will be ■ another : of - the '' operatic items. "Como Let’s Be Merry” and ‘‘The .Jolly Tinker” will be- the old English songs ou the programme, am,- modern English numbers will include “Sea Fever” (John Ireland). "Five Eye-s” (Armstrong Gibbs),. "If I Were King” (Campbell Tipton) and "Route Alarchiid ” (-Stock), Alls* Rita -Miller will sing the Polacca from ‘‘Alignoii.” "Songs My Alother: Taught Ale” and "A ■ Persian Seng -of Spring,’’ and th c brilliant pianist of the party, Air. Raymond Lambert, will play “Toccata” - (Debussy), "Ri-. tual Fire; Dance” (Manuel 'de Falla), “Nocturne in F Sharp Major” (Chopin) and "Valsc Brillantc” ' in F Sharp .Major” (Chopin).
