TRIBUTES TO MR AY. H. BUSAYELL

BOARD MEMBERS’ REFERENCES Tributes to the late engineer,, Mr AY. H. Buswell, were paid by several speakers at yesterday's meeting of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board. The chairman (Air F. 11. Balll. pointed out that Mr Boswell’s passing came as a great shock, particularly since members of the board Bad no idea he was seriously ill. The announcement, consequently, was ail the greater shock. Mr Bus well had been engineer since the inception of the board, and previously was with the Borough Council for many years. “In both capacities'’, added Mr Bali, “lie earned the highest esteem for li.is finy personality and sound judgment. Under his administration our work has gone on exceptionally well and we have suffered a great loss." On behalf of the staff and liimseli, the manager. Air V. E. Sanders, expressed their deep sense of loss at the death of Mr Buswell. The manager mentioned that i amerous messages of sympathy with Air Buswell’s relatives and expressing recognition of the board's loss of . a very hue engineer had been received by the board from firms and Individuals, both professional and private, who had come in contact with the late engineer. It was decided to convey these messages to Mrs Buswell.
