Raymond Francis Origg, 37. an electrician, and David McArthur Todd, 46, were sentenced to-day for conspiring to commit a crime by threatening with intent to extort front Frederick Edwards, a chemist, a formula, to accuse him of having committed a crime. Crigg was sentenced to two years, and Todd to Ift mouths’ hard labor.

With a long list of previous convictions Francis Halligan, 35, was found guilty of theft from a, dwelling, in the Supreme Court to-day and was sentenced to one year’s hard labor, followed by reformative tremen! not exceeding three years. On fourteen charges otf stealing articles from postal packages, William Henry Matthew Donovan 25, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment.
