The first day of the Woodville Jockey. Club’s autumn meeting was. held to-da.v. The weather was fine until the'fourth race, when rain commenced and continued for the remainder of the afternoon. There was a large atten dance. The trade was in good order. The totalisator handled £5802 10s compared with £4989 on the first day last year,;an increase of £Bl3 10s. An inquiry was held into interference caused by Autumn Dawn during the running in the Oringi Highweight and the rider, J. Aides, was suspended for- one month.,
