Cotton, J formerly... of Christchurch,, and his fiancee. Miss Dorothy Yates Smith, were injured-in, a road accident,- and arc now in the West Kent Hospital, Eng. land, their condition being , reported to .be serious. Dr, Cotton was driving with his fiancee . near Maidstone when lie came into collision with a motor-lorry. They were both ihjiued, Miss Smith being severely hurt about her. head and face. Dr. Cotton arrived ill England, in February of 1029, and studied ,at Edinburgh, where ho gained his. F.R.C.S. degree. H?.wns then on the staff of the Bradford Royal Infirmary,-and afterwards house surgeon of . the West. Kent Hospital. Miss Smith was formerly a sister at tlie same hospital. »
