INDIA'S GOLD STOCK
VA ST HOARD UNTOUCHED. ACCUMULATION OF 6>n YEARS. CALCUTTA, Dec. 20. In spite of the fact that £80,000,000 worth of gold has been shipped from India during the last year them is still a vast hoard of untouched gold estimated at £600,000,000, which has accumulated in India between 13i3 and 1931.
Exports have made little impression on'this “sink of gold”, neither have they affected women's gold ornaments which, are still worn lavishly by the upper classes.
