With the exception of the fat cattle section, the entries at the Adding-ton-imarkot in'the major‘sections were smaller than normal. As a result fat sheep advanced sharply and lat lamb values also advanced. The fat- cattle market is still very dull, with a few lines from outside The provmtee now coming forward.

A s a result, of smaller yardings and a keen demand, beef prices at today’s Westfield fat- stock sale showed an improvement of up to 2s per 100 lbs. The influence of exporters was traceable through outside buying. Extra c-hoiee ox sold to 19s per 1001 b choice and prune ox 16s to 18s, secondary and plain ox 13s to 15s, prime young cow and heifer heel 16s to 18s. and ordinary cow beef C ! s to 14s.
