DISFIGURES MEAT
PROPOSED MARKING iN BRITAIN. TRADE WOULD EE PREJUDICED. (U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. Copy right LONDON, Jan. 9. At the meat marking inquiry counsel for- thaw imported; Moat. Trades •Association and New Zealand Meat Producers’- Board, said that marking’ would disfigure the meat and prejudice the trade to some extent. The New Zealand board, was of the opinion that the marking would create sWious difficulties, increasing costs and retarding the rate of killing, it is estimated it would cost thq producers £8 on every, 1000 carcases, apart from the cost of branding.
