Although the Ormond Sports Club has been unfortunate in the weather roerfatly, the rain on Saturday necessitating tbo second postponement of its annual sports fixture, the dance arranged for the evening was proceeded with and met with complete success. The local hall, effectively decked v. ivh. featherv greenery and streamers of every hue. presented a scene of gaiety aind animation, ami the guests, numbering about IK) couples, thoroughly entered into the festive spirit of' the dance. •The stage was embowered in greenery and flowers, and the same taste was displayed in, the adornment of the supper-room,, pink and white. ..seasonal..blooms being -.used with artistic effect in the decoration of tho tables. - .... -

The spacious sun parlour made an ideal' ballroom, and here dancing was enjoyed to the delightful music contributed by Misses A. Hoi and R. ••White and Mr. 0. McKay. . Card tables for non-dnfacers were net out in the diningroom, which looked very attractive with its artistic decorations of pink geranium and, mauve stock, while the drawingroom was beautified with bowls ,i)f scarlet verbena.;
