HOGG v. ROBERTSON
Arrangement's have been completed by the Gisborne . Boxing Association for the staging of a professional match between Wally Hogg, cx-amateur welter champion of New Zealand, and Watty Robertson, art Gisborne on February 10. The men will fight on a percentage basis and the bout will be preceded by amateur preliminaries in Which the best of local talent', and pos’sibly some from other centres, will be engaged. NICOL BEATS PARKER. MOSLEY TOO GOOD FOR BUCKLEY. -Press Assoofa'ton.i INVERCARGILL, Jan. 9. In a professional boxing match Rav Nicol 12st. 2lb. (Ohui) defeated Vince Parker (Timaru) list. SAID. in 15 rounds. The contest was held before a packed house. Nicol led practically all tlie way and won on points.
A preliminary professional 10rounder between Jimmy Mosley (Invercargill) Bst. 13Tb. and Charlie Buckley (Dunedin) Bst. 121 b. was won on points by Mosley. Challenges to the winner of the Nicol-Parker light were received from Billy Sullivan (Hastings) aud Colin Galt’ (Waiatiiwa). Stan Brookes (Green Island) challenged the winner of tho Buckley-Mosley fight.
