OFFENDER FIXED C 5. IVess Association.! HASTINGS, Jan. 5. William McKenzie a freezing works slaughterman who declined to go back when the works opened this season, was fined ,-C5, with medical and other costs this morning, for an assault on a free laborer named Schrocder. The police stated that assaults of this kind were becoming too common among strikers and free laborers and asked the justices to moke an example of. the accused.
