.Vs a sequel to conferences between the Ministry of Transport and various road users’ organisations a new scheme lias been evolved whereby it is hoped eventually to lessen the number of accidents oj] roads. The system provides for the collection of much fuller information of aH accidents than hitherto has been available. All derails regarding every accident, including the state of the weather and road, the ago and sex of the driver, the length of his or her driving experience, the age of the car, the. condition of tb ebyres, and the employment or otherwise of a dimming device on the head lamps are to he collected and analysed with a view to possible alterations in the traffic regulations.
