Bob Pearce stated to-day that he will turn professional to compete in the world title tournament at the Canadian National Exhibition next autumn, if the -event, is arranged for Toronto. Mr. ERvood Hughes, the exhibition sports director, is. working on plans for the event, which would carry a purse of £IOOO. Air. Hughes is trying to in to cost Ted Pliclpq IT. A. Barry, Major GoodsoH, and several other high-ranking professionals. .Toe Wright might also enter tho contest, ivlJch would involve a series of elimination heats. Pearce lias decided to renounce his recently-expressed intention of retiring from competitions.
