The case in which “Wizard” Smith is claiming £20,000 from Smith’s Weekly for alleged libel was continued to-day. Plaintiff was further cross-examined concerning his ten-mile record on Ninety Mile Beach, and the method of checking the speed of Ins ear. Evidence taken on commission in New Zealand in support' of plaintiff’s case relating chiefly to the condition of (the beach when Smith was there, was read. The hearing was adjourned.
