PLUMBERS’ APPRENTICES VARIATION IN CONDITIONS (Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct, 14. Provision for a reduction of 2-5 per cent, in the present rates of pay and a, system of rationing work so that apprentices will work three weeks out of every four, and will make up and be paid for lost time at the end of each, apprentice year before starting on the next, .was contained in an order made by Air T_ A. AlcNeil, S.M. to-day, in connection with 28 applications by 10 master plumbers for a variation in their existing apprenticeship contracts. The case was heard last Tuesday'.
