WELLINGTON, Oct. 13 Tho national executive of the New Zealand "Workers’ . Union advises all workers to accept engagements at the following terms: Shearers, 20a per 100 with rations; and 25s without; shed hands and pressers, £2 iUs a week, or Is 6d an hour; all others, £2 os a week or Is 4d on hour; cooks, 12 men or under. £3 a week; cooks’ assistants, £2 10s. - . The general secretary explains that these are the rates the union is prepared to accept in an agreement with the sheepowners. He says the reason ablcness of them is recognised by quite 75 per cent, of the sheepowners, who have already expressed a willingness to pay, nothing less than £1 a IUU for shearing. The rates proposed by the 'sneepowners are 18s a 100; pressers, £ a week or Is 2d an hour; all others, £1 15s a week or I.S an hour; cooks. £2 103: cooks’ assistant's, £2.
