MARCH ON CAPITOL

INDIGENT AMERICAN FARMERS.

EXCITEMENT IN .WASHINGTON IN DECEMBER!' •-

REDS AND BONUS SOLDIERS MAY ALSO DEMONSTRATE.

(U.P.A. by Elec. Tel. CopyCglit.) (Received Oct. 12, 7 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Oct. 12.

The Farmers’ National Relief Conference, an organisation growing out of - the recent farm strikes at Io;wa and elsewhere in, tJie Middle West, 10-dav announced “a. farm march’’ upon Washington, about December 7. Between 50 and 5000 disgruntled farmers are expected to come in trucks and motor ears to present to the Government definite demands, including a moratorium for debts, rents, taxes and mortgages, postponement of foreclosures, tax sales and evictions, also direct financial relief for indigent farmers. In view of the fact that a Communist march about December 15 is definitely planned, and there is also the possibility of another, bonus expedition about the same time, Police Chief Classford lias requested the officials to grant him complete authority to evict, if necessary, and so preclude the possibility of military action as was taken against the bonus marchers on July 28.
