LONDON. .<ept-. 2. The Hague correspondent of the “Times’'* stales that when the Queen of Holland way reading the speech from the throne at the opening of Parliament to-day Communist members shouied: —“Down with the Queen! Dow u with Royalty-’*

Loyalist members quickly drowned the voices of the interrupters by singing the Dutch national anthem mid cheering the Queen, and policemen ejected the Communists. The Queen was not in the least perturbed. and, when calm had returned. went on with the reading of her speech.

Thousands of Communists demonstrated in the streets, but were prevented tiom approaching the palace. They rioted and broke shop windows.

The police dispersed the mobs with baton charges ill which many of the rioters were injured.

Crowds of Fascists made a loyal demonstration and cheered the Queen on the route from Parliament House to Un: palace.

Queen tVilhelmina. who was born in ISSO. succeeded to the throne in November. 1890. and was crowned in 1898 when she became of age. ]n j 901 she married Prince Henry of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Their only child. Princess Juliana, was horn hi 1909.
